Adam Worthy (Scoop Newsworthy) has been a Jackson 5 fan since 1981. He first saw the Jacksons on TV at age four during their summer variety show and he has been a collector since 1991. He loves to listen to music, dissect music, make music, and spend time with his wife and children.

  4. Are you referring to 'The Love You Save'. If so, I don't believe it was released yet.

  5. No, not The Love You Save-- Who's Lovin' You which was on the B side of I Want You Back and on the Diana Ross Presents album and that they sang on their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show on Dec 14, 1969. I was at the May 2, 1970 show and really could swear they sang it and that I swooned to it, but then again that could just be memory playing games with me.

Corey, get to the bottom of the mystery for me! Please!

  6. Actually, I am certain they sang it because Michael did that little spoken lead in about sharing cookies in the schoolyard. But, maybe I'm wrong......don't think so though.

  7. Ok, just found my answer in the copy of the review for the show in the Philadelphia Tribune dated May 5, 1970:
"When the group broke into the first song I Want You Back crowds became uncontrollable and Woods was forced to stop the show. Similar demonstrations occurred when the group sang its other popular hits Who's Loving You and ABC."

Whew, I knew I wasn't imagining this. Though I do think the setlist in Scoop Newsworthy's report might be on point with Stand opening the concert rather than I Want You Back. The important thing is that they did sing Who's Lovin' You.

    A Very Happy and nostalgic,

    Roberta

  8. Loove the conversation Michael has with the audience before he sings "Who's Lovin' you during live performances.

  9. Crowds breaking out when they perform their #1 hit......yeah I could imagine that. I really wish to hear this concert.

  11. Glad I was able to create some dialogue on this post. Corey, you are right - TLYS hadn't been released yet.

  12. Don't forget folks, the set list came from what has been captured on audio and rests in the vaults.

  13. I Want you Back had to be 4th or 5th in line cause on the Live at the Forum site it mentioned it being "moved up from fourth", meaning it was moved up from being the fourth song.

  14. I love Michael's Live At the Forum intro to Who's Lovin' You? "yah, yah... Oreos.."
