A Peek at the J5 Exhibit

I've been hoping that the Motown Historical Museum would get it together with an online virtual version of the Jackson 5 exhibit for those of us who can't make it to Detroit this summer. So far, the only picture I've found that gives us a clue as to what it might look like is this one of the curator Lina Stephens standing in front of a wall of not-so-rare photos. But what is she looking at, off camera? I'm dying to know!

  2. Even though a lot of the pictures we see here are ones we've seen... I feel humbled seeing them in such large, authentic formats... Very cool!

  3. If you go, please try to get contact info for Lina Stephens. I would love to interview her for my blog.

  4. I'm sure the section dedicated to MJ/J5 is really nice. I went to the museum a few times when I lived in Toledo,Ohio. As a tourist, I wished the museum was bigger and they had more stuff on the Jackson 5, so one day I called the museum...Esther Gordy-Edwards (Berry Gordy's sister) answered the phone...couldn't believe it...spoke to her for hours and donated a few items...a day I'll never forget.

  5. Wow, that's an amazing story, Adam! What did you donate to them?

  6. I donated a few magazines and a few cereal box records. I'm not certain if they ever displayed them, however Esther did send me a confirmation letter of receipt. She's a very sweet woman.
